What's the difference between RO and a whole house filter?
A whole house system filters all the water entering your home (showers, laundry and taps), removing chlorine, sediment and impurities. An under-sink RO system filters at one point, usually the kitchen, and removes even finer contaminants like fluoride, PFAS and heavy metals. Together they give you clean water everywhere plus ultra-pure drinking water. See the Whole House + RO package.
Does it remove fluoride?
Yes. The ultrafine TFC membrane screens down to 0.0005 micron, removing fluoride along with PFAS, heavy metals, bacteria and other fine contaminants.
Doesn't reverse osmosis strip out the good minerals?
Ours puts them back. The fifth stage is an AlkaHydrate filter that adds calcium, magnesium and potassium and raises the pH, so your water comes out mineralised and great tasting.
How often do the filters need changing?
The pre-filters every 12 months, the RO membrane every 2 to 3 years and the post-filter yearly. We send reminders and offer affordable servicing when they're due.
Will it fit under my sink?
The system measures 320 mm wide, 420 mm high and 110 mm deep, and the 12-litre tank is 317 mm tall and 203 mm in diameter, so it suits most kitchen sink cupboards. Not sure about yours? Call or text us and we'll talk it through.
